Latrines for La Majada
This project provided 175 latrines in the village of La Majada, San Jacinto, Guatemala. Health/hygiene training was provided to the villagers as part of the project. The community and the municipality partnered with Rotary to make this project happen.
Assess to proper sanitation prevents waterborne diseases. This improves the health and wellbeing of children and increases school attendance. Sanitation and hygiene education are basic necessities for a healthy and productive life.
